4You have to follow the directions.  Mar 08, 2010
This is a great product, but you have to follow the directions. If you buy it and just throw it on like regular polish you will be disappointed. If it's important to you to use a non-toxic chemical-free nail polish then you have to make some small adjustments. The color is beautiful, I ordered Prissy, and it's lasting well. I try not to use harsh soaps or shampoos when I have it on. It doesn't chip, but it does start to fade after so many hand washes w/ harsh soaps. You can buff the polish or apply another thin coat to bring it back to life.

5Love this stuff!!  Feb 21, 2010
I felt compelled to write a review about this polish because I love it so much! I've been on a mission to remove harmful chemicals and preservatives from my food and cosmetics but its been very difficult to give up some of my favorite products. After finding this polish on the Skin Deep database (rates cosmetics and products based on toxicity and danger to health) I thought it was too good to be true. I ordered Bliss and the conditioner(which I used like a base) and have been wearing it continuously for about 3 weeks and haven't had to remove it yet! I am having great results with Aquarella. No chipping or peeling like I was used to with my old polish (I religously wore OPI). Every few days I apply a fresh coat and on alternate days I buff the polish with the buffer and it shines right up like a fresh coat of polish. This stuff is awesome!! It is definitely different than regular polish in that it is softer, almost like it isn't completely dry even though it is. Harsh soaps or shampoos can dull it a bit but a quick buff will bring it back to its shiny old self. I believe that having nails prepared properly before application may be the difference between absolutely loving this stuff with excellent results and having a bad experience. I actually had polish-free nails for a few weeks before application of Aquarella. My constant manicures and polish changes had weakened my nails terribly and I was so disgusted by all the chemicals I had to use all the time that I went bare before stumbling upon Aquarella. So my point is, I'm guessing my nails were properly prepared and rid of whatever residues would cause the polish not to adhere properly. You must try this stuff. I feel that it is worth the price all things considered...like my health!

1Dries out nails and hands, chips immediately after application  Feb 08, 2010
I followed instructions exactly and used all the necessary adjunct products. It totally dried out my nails and hands to the point they were peeling and rough for weeks. Also, the polish chips almost immediately after application. Would not buy again.

3pricey and...  Oct 29, 2009
At first, I was thrilled to find a nail polish that was not very harmful in terms of toxicity. I was fine with paying the price, albeit high, until I used the product. I had the nail polish on my fingernails for one day, and had to remove it the next day because it was chipping so badly. I had not done anything that would cause nail polish to chip (such as excessive dish washing), so I was not sure why this would happen so quickly.

5Awesome!  Oct 18, 2009
I was a little taken aback by the price of the polish but being that we are expecting I had not been painting my nails with anything. This has the LOWEST rating on the EWG Skin Deep website and is completely safe for anyone - expectant mothers or little girls. I highly recommend it and think it was worth the money!!
